About The Role…
We are seeking experienced Independent Contractors to transcribe depositions, hearings, and other judicial proceedings remotely. Attention to detail, knowledge of legal terminology, and grammar proficiency are key in producing accurate verbatim transcripts.
Responsibilities
Transcribe audio recordings following style guides
Maintain high accuracy and strict adherence to deadlines
Process diverse content, including potentially offensive material
Requirements
Experience in court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription
Exceptional listening skills
Proficient in meeting client-specific style guides
Strong literacy skills and familiarity with legal terminology
Ability to collaborate effectively in a remote setting
Fast and accurate typing skills
Must pass a background check
Knowledge of legal terminology
Consideration for court reporting students
Excludes residents of Massachusetts and California
