Senior Accountant – REMOTE

Are you an experienced accountant with a passion for building relationships and leading a team? We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join a dynamic and supportive team, working remotely! In this role, you’ll have the chance to connect with a variety of small business clients and oversee their bookkeeping needs, all while managing a team of bookkeepers.
What You’ll Do
Foster strong, positive relationships with clients, addressing their accounting needs and resolving issues efficiently.
Provide comprehensive monthly accounting services for small businesses, including managing banking and cash flow, performing bank reconciliations, processing payroll, handling accounts payable/receivable, calculating and paying state and local taxes, understanding profit/loss and balance sheets, and managing fixed asset schedules.
Oversee the month-end close process and prepare accurate year-end financial statements.
Utilize your knowledge of small business accounting practices, with a bonus for experience in the Architecture and Engineering industries.
Mentor and train interns and new team members, sharing your expertise and helping them grow.
What We’re Looking For
At least 10 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, ideally within a smaller company environment.
Previous management experience, including supervising other accounting professionals.
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Excel, and accounting software such as Deltek Ajera.
Strong understanding of GAAP and accrual accounting principles.
An accounting degree is preferred; a CPA license is a plus.
