Key Responsibilities
Provide personalized tutoring to K-12 students, either one-on-one or in small groups of up to three students.
Assist students with SAT preparation and various academic subjects.
Employ teaching resources effectively to support student learning and engagement.
Foster a positive and encouraging atmosphere that inspires a love for learning.
Required Skills
Strong critical thinking and reasoning skills, evidenced by a high level of performance on SAT-level material.
Proficiency in critical reading and writing, with a thorough understanding of grammar principles.
A background in English/American literature and literary interpretation is advantageous.
A genuine passion for teaching and a commitment to helping young learners succeed.
Flexibility in scheduling, with the ability to create a consistent weekly teaching timetable.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree or higher in any relevant field.
A minimum score of 700 on the Reading/Writing section of the SAT to qualify for high school tutoring.
Previous teaching or tutoring experience is preferred.
