Blazer Jobs is actively seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist for a full-time role with school districts in the Boone, NC area. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to student success by providing specialized occupational therapy services.
Key Responsibilities…
Evaluate Students: Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate students physical, sensory, and cognitive abilities to determine their therapy needs.
Develop and Implement Treatment Plans: Design and execute individualized therapy plans aimed at improving students’ motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities.
Provide Direct Therapy: Deliver one-on-one therapy sessions to students, focusing on enhancing their functional abilities and academic participation.
Collaborate with School Teams: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate therapy goals into the classroom and support students overall development.
Document Progress: Keep detailed records of therapy sessions, assessments, and student progress.
Attend IEP Meetings: Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, providing insights and recommendations for therapy goals and strategies.
Qualifications:
Possession of a valid Occupational Therapist license issued by the North Carolina Board of Medicine.
Completion of a graduate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
Passing scores on the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) examination.
