The opportunity
Southern New Hampshire University is seeking a student employee to fill the role of Program Assistant for the 21st Century After School Program in Manchester, NH. Program Assistants will work at Manchesters 21st Century After School Program at either our elementary or middle school programs. Program Assistants will also assist the Site Coordinators in the operation of a high-quality, after school program.
Job Responsibilities:
Monitoring and distributing snacks.
Overseeing students transitioning from class to class.
Assisting certified teachers in providing classroom instruction to students.
Program Assistants will also be encouraged to partner with the Site Coordinator and staff in coming up with different enrichment activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
Current enrollment in classes as part of a SNHU degree program
Work study part of financial aid package
Students with work study may be prioritized
Reliable transportation
Must be reliable and have effective communication skills.
Each candidate will need to complete a background check.
Commit to a set schedule that is determined by the 21st Century team.
Prior experience working with children is encouraged, however, it is not required.
Learning Outcomes:
Students will gain knowledge of working in a school setting and how to work together as a team to make an after school setting successful.
Work Schedule: ?Monday thru Friday 2:30 pm – 5:00 pm

Compensation
The hourly pay range for this position is $12.00 – $15.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations
