What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
– Follow up on invoices sent to payers that have not yet been paid
– Research denials and work on converting them for payment
– Process at least 5 claims per hour while managing a portfolio of payers
– Assist with billing efforts by eliminating denials and keeping payer rules up to date
– Meet daily, monthly, and quarterly collection goals set by management
What is Required (Qualifications):
– High school diploma or GED required
– Minimum of 2 years of related experience in Medical Insurance Collections, healthcare, medical office, or customer service
– Proficient in Microsoft suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel
– Strong basic math and accounting skills
– Proven ability to manage in a high call volume environment with accuracy and efficiency
