We are seeking a Bioinformatics Analyst to assist in GWAS and post-GWAS pipeline analysis. The role involves processing genetic data, performing GWAS and PheWAS, and collaborating with the team to integrate genetic evidence with other workstreams.
The new hire will work primarily with data analytics
Scope :
? Curate, format, and ingest GWAS and QTL summary statistics in post-GWAS pipelines
? Define custom disease and control cohorts using EHR data.
? Perform genome-wide association studies (GWAS) to identify variants associated with disease risk, endotypes, age of onset, time-to-event, or other quantitative traits
? Perform PheWAS using internal databases and R scripts.
? Coordinate with the project team to integrate genetic evidences with other evidences workstreams
Skills :
Top Must-Have Skills
? GWAS (Genome-Wide Association Studies) experience
? Minimum of 3 Years of related experience
? Must have Human Genetics and Genetic Data Analytics Experience
? R Programming Experience
? Candidates with Genome-Wide Association Studies experience and a Master’s degree (MS) would be acceptable if they have more than 3 years of experience post Master in human genetics.
Nice to Have Skills:
? Previous experience within Pharmaceutical Industry
? Experience with Epigenetics
? Strong Communication Skills
? PhD Strongly preferred
