Job Title: Clinical Documentation Specialist…
Location(s): Los Angeles, CA (Remote)
This team cares for high-acuity and complex patients, so they require contractors with strong clinical knowledge, a deep understanding of pathophysiology, and the ability to communicate effectively about their work, both orally and in writing.
Experience
Must have an RN or MD certification from a US School
Minimum 5 years experience as CDS, some or all of which must be with an Academic Medical Center
Be able to discuss medical diagnostic topics
Be familiar with coding as it relates to documentation
Have worked in an EPIC and 3M 360 Encompass (CAC) software environment
To better align with our requirements, we are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
Consistent job history in CDI with contractor experience
Solid clinical/medical foundation (preferably someone with acute floor staff nursing experience)
Must have recent experience using 3M CAC 360 and EPIC
Extensive coding/regulatory/compliance knowledge
Strong technical and critical thinking ability
Ability to clearly and fluently articulate and discuss pathophysiology
Must have AMC experience (preferably recent (last 12 months) or current)
