Our client is a SaaS organization offering creative solutions to government entities. We are seeking a detail-oriented Remote Temporary General Ledger Accountant to support their team and ensure the accuracy and completeness of our ledger accounts. This role involves preparing and executing journal entries and performing account reconciliations to support an accurate 5-day month-end close… Reporting to the Senior Accountant, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong accounting background, and a proactive approach to understanding tasks and processes.
This 100% remote contract will have 20-25 hours/week and require CST business hours 3 days/week. Covering a maternity leave, we anticipate this contract lasting 4-5 months.
Responsibilities:
Lead the timely and accurate preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations to achieve a precise 5-day month-end close.
Conduct weekly bank reconciliations for the operating bank account and monthly reconciliations for all other bank accounts.
Post daily bank deposits in NetSuite.
Add amortization tables and dates to all prepaid vendor invoices and post weekly prepaid journal entries.
Verify and upload weekly employee reimbursement coding into NetSuite.
Perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis as requested.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years in month-end accounting operations with a strong background in treasury.
Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, analytical abilities, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively in a high-growth, high-transaction volume environment.
Proven, strong background in GAAP.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
Experience with NetSuite and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel required, Bill.com experience a plus.
