Ans. The speaker is a handicapped person.

Ans. He suffers from the incapability of his legs. I know this as he is compelled to move with the help of a wheelchair.
Q. 3. How does the speaker want the others to treat him?
Ans. The speaker wants others not to lock him out in their ignorance and requets to talk to him, touch him, include with him, hold his hand and to let him share the common life.

Ans. Normal people expect the speaker to sit idle and not to make a sound: They want him just to smile and let the world go by with saintly patience without a sigh.

Ans. The speaker expresses his feeling that people ignore him as a person who has no mind and human feelings. But the fact is something different. The fact is that he, too, has his mind and want to do something like other people.
Q. 3. Why does he call the normal people ignorant ?
Ans. Normal people do not consider the problem of a handicapped persons with respect of human feelings. So, he calls them ignorant.
Q. 4. Are differently-abled people inferior to others? Give reasons for your answer.
Ans. Differently–abled people cannot be said to inferior to others as nature does not provide equal and similar ability to all.

Banti : Should differently abled persons be treated as equals ?
Jahir : No, differently abled persons cannot be treated as equals. Difference of their ability cannot set them in the same group, so they cannot be treated as equals.
Mokir : I feel differently abled persons can be treated as equals. The equality of opportunity will facilitate them to get chance for their welfare.
Banti : Yes, equality of opportunity may enable them to rise in future.

Write a paragraph on the ‘Life of a Disabled Person’.
Your paragraph should include the following points :

* what support they need
* how people treat them
* responsibility of the society towards them
Ans. Life of a Disabled Person
A disabled person suffers from a disability of his body. There are many types of disability. Some persons is unable to see, someone is unable to move or do any work and someone is unable to hear. Such person is unable to behave like a normal man. So, common people do not pay their attention. towards him and ignore him as if he is not able to live with them. But, it is not proper. Such person should also be treated as a member of our society. He should not be dealt with separately. Such person also has a sense of human being, so he should be accompanied by every member of our society.
G. TRANSLATION:
Translate into English :
कल मेरे साथ एक अद्भुत घटना घटी। मैं दफ्तर से लौट रहा था । अपनी बिल्डिंग में पहुँचते ही अँधेरा हो गया । जेनरेटर और लिफ्ट भी काम नहीं कर रहे थे। मैं अंधेरे में किसी तरह से सीढ़ी तक पहुँचा । पहली सीढ़ी पर पैर रखने की कोशिश में मैं गिर पड़ा । तभी किसी ने मुझे हाथ पकड़कर उठाया । वह अनजान व्यक्ति मुझे सीढ़ियों से हाथ पकड़कर ऊपर ले गया । आठवीं मंजिल पर मेरे फ्लैट के दरवाजे पर पहुँचकर मैंने उसे बारम्बार धन्यवाद दिया। तभी बिजली वापस आ गई। मैंने अपने अनजान मित्र को देखा। वह अंधा था। एक अंधे ने मुझे राह दिखाई थी ।
Ans. Yesterday a strange incident occurred with me. I was returning from office. As I reached in my building, it became dark. Generator and lift, too, were not working. Any how I reached up to the stairs in the dark. I fell down when trying to step the first stair. At that moment someone lifted me holding my hand. Holding my hand, that unknown person took me up through the stairs. Reaching the gate of my flat on eighth floor. I thanked. him again and again. That very moment the light returned. I saw my unknown friend. He was blind. A blind man had showed me the way.
